Ph.D Entrance Examination Syllabus
Approved Guides for Ph.D Program
Interested candidates may apply for Full time or Part time Ph.D. Program with all the relevant documents. The online application form is available at https://universitysolutions.in/phdadm/acu . Duly filled applications should be submitted online with an application fee (only online payment is accepted). The details of Ph.D. regulations, fee structure, infrastructure facility and list of the research guides available can be obtained from university website https://acu.edu.in/ . Ph.D. admission is only through entrance examination. However, candidates who have qualified in GATE, GPAT, UGC-CSIR-NET, SLET, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or any other UGC-recognized eligibility test with a valid certificate at the time of admission or candidates who hold an M.Phil. degree from a recognized university and those who are employed in National Laboratories or reputed multinational companies (MNCs) with a minimum of five years of research experience are exempted from the ACU Ph.D. Entrance Test ; however, they must appear for the interview for final selection.
Note: * ACU offers a fellowship of ₹30,000 per month plus HRA for candidates with a valid UGC/CSIR-NET/ GATE/GPAT qualification, while other eligible full-time candidates are awarded ₹25,000 per month plus HRA for a maximum duration of 3 years.
* All part-time candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer along with the application.

Faculty of Pharmacy: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacology & Pharmacognosy.
Faculty of Natural Sciences: Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Material Science.
Faculty of Computer Applications & Information Sciences: Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Science & Library and Information Sciences.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Education & Kannada.
Faculty of Commerce and Management: Commerce & Management.
Faculty of Nursing: Community Health Nursing.
Post Graduate Degree in the respective subjects from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% Marks in M.Tech/ ME/ MD/ MS/ M.Pharm/ Pharm.D/ M.Ed/ M.Sc / M.Sc (Medical) M.Com./M.Ed /M.A. in respective and related subjects.
Note: Candidates with MCA, M.Sc (CS), M.Sc (IT), and MLISc qualifications are eligible to apply only under the Faculty of Computer Applications and Information Science.

Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the Ph.D. program. This includes specific qualifications, and, in some cases, qualifying in national or state-level eligibility tests like GATE, GPAT, UGC-CSIR-NET-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, DST-INSPIRE, or having an M.Phil degree.
Applicants working in National Laboratories or MNCs with over 5 years of research experience may also be exempted from the entrance exam.
Prepare all necessary documents. This usually includes academic transcripts, proof of qualifications, identification documents, and any certificates relevant to the eligibility tests mentioned above (if applicable).
Visit the ACU official website (acu.edu.in) and locate the online application form for the Ph.D. program. Fill out the form with accurate and complete information.
Submit the application fee online. Ensure to complete this step as applications without the fee payment will likely be considered incomplete.
After filling out the form and paying the fee, submit your application online before the stipulated deadline. Ensure all information is accurate and complete before submission.
If you are not exempt from the ACU Entrance Test, start preparing for the exam. Check the university’s website for details about the exam format, syllabus, and dates.
