Overview

Adichunchanagiri College of Nursing (ACN) maintains a comprehensive framework of statutory and institutional committees as mandated by UGC, INC (Indian Nursing Council), RGUHS, and university guidelines. These committees ensure transparent governance, academic quality, student welfare, and a safe, inclusive campus environment for all stakeholders.

Each committee is constituted with clearly defined terms of reference, regular meetings, and documented proceedings. The committees work collaboratively to uphold the institution's commitment to excellence in nursing education, ethical practices, and holistic student development.

Anti-Ragging Committee

Chaired by: Principal

Ensures zero tolerance policy against ragging on campus and hostels. Conducts awareness programs, monitors compliance, and provides 24/7 helpline access as per UGC regulations.

Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

Library Committee

Examination Committee

Anti-Ragging & Safety

ACN maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against ragging in any form — physical, verbal, or psychological — as per UGC and Supreme Court directives. Every student signs an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission. The anti-ragging committee, along with a flying squad, conducts regular inspections of the campus, hostels, and clinical areas.

Students who face or witness ragging are encouraged to report immediately through multiple channels. All complaints are treated with utmost confidentiality, and strict disciplinary action is taken against offenders as per UGC Regulation 2009.

How to File a Complaint

ACN provides a clear, confidential process for filing complaints related to ragging, harassment, grievances, or any other concern. Follow the steps below:

Submit Complaint

Submit a written or online complaint to the relevant committee. Complaints can be submitted in person, by email, or through the college complaint portal.

Acknowledgement

The committee acknowledges receipt within 2 working days and assigns a case reference number for tracking.

Inquiry & Resolution

A confidential inquiry is conducted. The committee hears all parties involved and arrives at a resolution within 15 working days.

Action & Follow-Up

Appropriate action is taken as per institutional rules. The complainant is informed of the outcome and follow-up support is provided.
