Dedicated to excellence in child health nursing — from neonatal intensive care to adolescent health promotion, with the largest faculty team of 14 members.
The Department of Paediatric Nursing (Child Health Nursing) at ACN is dedicated to preparing competent nursing professionals in the care of children across all developmental stages — from neonates to adolescents. With the largest faculty team of 14 members, the department provides comprehensive education covering neonatal, infant, toddler, school-age, and adolescent care.
Students gain hands-on experience in neonatal intensive care, immunization programs, growth monitoring, and the management of developmental disorders, preparing them for the complexities of modern child health nursing.
The department maintains a fully equipped paediatric nursing skills laboratory designed to simulate real-world clinical scenarios. Students practice on pediatric models and manikins before entering actual clinical settings, ensuring competence and confidence in child care procedures.
Students receive extensive clinical training at Adichunchanagiri Hospital & Research Centre (AHRC) in the Paediatric Ward, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), immunization clinics, and well-baby clinics. The centralized simulation lab at AIMS further enhances hands-on learning.
Join the Department of Paediatric Nursing at ACN and become part of a team dedicated to nurturing the next generation of child health professionals.
