The B.Sc. PCM program at Adichunchanagiri School of Natural Sciences (ASNS) offers an integrated study of physics, chemistry and mathematics — the classical trio that underpins every modern scientific and engineering discipline. Across six semesters, students progress from foundational mechanics and inorganic chemistry through to modern physics, advanced organic chemistry and higher mathematics.
The physics stream covers classical & modern physics, including mechanics, waves and oscillations, thermal physics, electricity and magnetism, optics, solid state and nuclear physics. Chemistry is developed through organic, inorganic, physical and analytical branches, while the mathematics stream builds calculus, algebra, differential equations, real and complex analysis, and numerical methods.
Dedicated laboratories for all three subjects ensure that theory is reinforced by experimentation — from optical benches and electrical circuits to titrations, synthesis and computational problem solving. Graduates leave with the analytical reasoning, experimental skill and mathematical rigour demanded by postgraduate study and advanced science careers.
