Adichunchanagiri College of Nursing holds full recognition from the Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka State Nursing Council for all nursing programs.
The Indian Nursing Council (INC) is the national statutory body constituted under the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947. It is responsible for regulating and maintaining uniform standards of nursing education across India. INC prescribes the curriculum, minimum standards for infrastructure, faculty qualifications, clinical training requirements, and student intake capacity for all nursing programs.
All nursing institutions in India must obtain INC recognition to conduct nursing programs. INC conducts periodic inspections to ensure continued compliance with prescribed norms and standards.
Adichunchanagiri College of Nursing holds full INC recognition for all its nursing programs including B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, GNM, and Ph.D in Nursing. The recognition is renewed periodically following successful inspections.
The Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) is the state-level regulatory body established under the Karnataka Nursing and Midwives Act. KSNC oversees nursing education and practice within Karnataka, maintaining a register of qualified nurses and midwives, and ensuring that institutions meet the standards set by INC at the state level.
Registration with KSNC is mandatory for all nursing graduates to practice in Karnataka. KSNC works in coordination with INC to monitor institutional standards and conducts regular inspections.
ACN is registered with KSNC and all programs are approved at the state level. Graduates of ACN are eligible for KSNC registration, enabling them to practice nursing in Karnataka and apply for registration transfer to other states.
