Program Overview

Pharm.D is a 6-year doctorate program consisting of 5 years of academic coursework and 1 year of internship/residency. It is the premier clinical pharmacy qualification in India, approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), designed to produce pharmacists who can work alongside physicians in direct patient care.

Students are trained in patient-oriented pharmaceutical care, drug therapy management, and clinical research. The program integrates classroom theory with extensive hospital-based practice, preparing graduates to serve as vital members of the healthcare team.

Clinical training takes place at SACP's affiliated Adichunchanagiri Hospital & Research Centre (AHRC) — a 1,500-bed multispecialty teaching hospital — giving students direct patient interaction experience across 30+ specialties from their early years.
