With the divine blessings of Paramapoojya Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji and the gracious guidance of His Holiness Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Honourable Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University, the 49th Series of the Student Projects Programme (SPP) State-Level Annual Poster Presentation and Exhibition 2026 was successfully conducted on 17th and 18th July 2026 at Adichunchanagiri University, BGS Institute of Technology, BG Nagara.
The inaugural programme, held on 17th July 2026, was presided over by poojya Sri Sri Satkeerthinatha Swamiji and inaugurated by Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University. The programme was graced by Prof. K. Chidananda Gowda, eminent academician and former Vice-Chancellor of Kuvempu University, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Ashok M. Raichur, Secretary, Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), IISc Bengaluru, as the Guest of Honour. Dr. C. K. Subbaraya, Registrar, Adichunchanagiri University. Dr. B. N. Shobha, Dean and Principal, BGS Institute of Technology and Dr. Girish K. B., Professor and SPP Coordinator, along with Heads of all the department faculty members and students of 140 engineering colleges and 195 faculties of the various engineering colleges attended the programme.
Chief guest Prof. K. Chidananda Gowda emphasized the important role of engineering and technological innovations in addressing contemporary societal challenges. He encouraged students to pursue research, innovation, and entrepreneurship to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The valedictory function was blessed by His Holiness Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Honourable Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University. Poojya Swamiji appreciated the outstanding efforts of the students in developing innovative projects and commended their dedication towards scientific research and technological advancement. He encouraged the young innovators to continue developing solutions that benefit society and the nation.

Raichur, Secretary, KSCST, IISc Bengaluru. Dr. B. N. Shobha, Dean and Principal, BGS Institute of Technology and Dr. Girish K. B., Professor and SPP Coordinator, deans and faculties of various engineering colleges were present on the occasion.
The two-day programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 1,500 students, over 195 faculty members, 212 innovative project exhibits, and 150 poster presentations from engineering institutions across Karnataka. The exhibition served as an excellent platform for students to showcase innovative ideas, exchange technical knowledge, and interact with experts from academia and industry.
As part of the valedictory ceremony, KSCST distributed 50 cash prizes along with certificates and mementoes to outstanding student teams in recognition of their exceptional projects across various engineering disciplines.
The 49th Series of the Student Projects Programme (SPP) State Level Annual Poster Presentation and Exhibition 2026 concluded successfully, reaffirming Adichunchanagiri University’s commitment to promoting academic excellence, innovation, research-driven learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of future-ready engineers dedicated to serving society.
