Memorandum of Agreement Signed Between Adichunchanagiri University and the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute
A Memorendum of agreement signed btween Adichunchanagiri University (ACU), B. G. Nagara, Mandya and the Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSB-CSRTI), Mysuru, on 19th August 2026 at the ACU Board Room.
The MoA focuses on the project titled “Certification of Biodegradable Packaging Material Developed from Cellulose Isolated from Sericulture Waste.” The collaboration aims to establish a scientific basis for the certification of the biodegradable packaging material and explore its potential applications as a sustainable alternative to conventional packaging materials.
The MoA was signed in the presence of Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Vice-Chancellor, ACU; Dr. C. K. Subbaraya, Registrar, ACU; Dr. Prashantha Kalappa, Dean–Research, ACU; Dr. Madhusudhan K. N., Scientist-D, CSB-CSRTI; Dr. Sugavaneshwaran K., Scientist-B, CSB-CSRTI; and Dr. Anilkumar C., Associate Professor, ACU.
This collaboration marks an important step towards sustainable materials research, value addition of sericulture waste, and the development and certification of environmentally friendly biodegradable packaging technologies.
