Overview

Community-based, family-centred nursing care

The Department of Community Health Nursing was established in 2004–2005 and emphasises community-based and family-centred approaches to nursing care. It prepares B.Sc Nursing students to work across diverse settings — urban and rural health centres, schools, and workplaces — in partnership with the AHRC super-speciality hospital and the surrounding B.G. Nagara community.

To improve population health by promoting health, preventing illness, and protecting communities from biological, behavioural, social, and environmental risks.
