About the Programme

A comprehensive nursing programme aligned to ACU and INC standards

The B.Sc Nursing programme at BGS Institute of Nursing Sciences is a four-year undergraduate course affiliated to Adichunchanagiri University and recognised by the Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka State Nursing Council. The curriculum integrates classroom instruction, departmental laboratory practice, simulation training and supervised clinical postings at the 1200+-bed AHRC parent hospital — developing nurses who synthesise knowledge from physical, biological, behavioral sciences and humanities to deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Eligibility

  • Passed the qualifying 12th standard (10+2) examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English)
  • Minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together
  • Pass in English individually is mandatory
  • Candidates from State Open School and NIOS (with Science subjects) are also eligible

Age & Medical Fitness

  • Minimum age: 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission
  • Maximum age: 35 years
  • Candidate shall be medically fit
  • Colour blind candidates may be admitted if they wear corrective contact lenses or spectacles
