Adichunchanagiri University (ACU) offers Post-graduate programs in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry and Nanoscience for students, and set in an ambiance having the strong academic background and sophisticated research facilities with highly qualified and dedicated faculties. Overview: Biochemistry deals with the structures and functions of cellular components such as lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids etc. The main aim of pursuing M. Sc in Biochemistry to understand each and every aspect of living organism at the molecular level and to use the knowledge to benefit mankind. Empowered with learning of biochemistry from basics to advanced applications which inculcate in research and problem-solving mode of learning.

Eligibility: Candidates must have secured 45% (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Biochemistry / Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry as one of the cognate subjects at B.Sc., level.

Overview: Biotechnology is an applied biological science which includes other basic structural components of Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Engineering, Medicine and Microbiology. Biotechnology is a comprehensive subject which provide exceptional curriculum serving students with strong vocational and professional skills development. It also aims at training students in the field of Biotechnology such as Genetic Engineering, Agricultural Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Applied Microbiology, and Bioprocess Technology.

Overview: Microbiology is known as the study of microorganisms. This includes the study of unicellular or single-celled, multicellular or a cell colony, or even those microorganisms lacking any kind of proper cell body. The subject of Microbiology is a vast subject, including numerous sub-disciplines like Virology, Parasitology, Mycology and Bacteriology. Microbiology overlaps the various other degree areas of biology like as Molecular Biology, Genetics & Immunology. Eligibility: Candidates having any B.Sc., degree with Physics / B.E., / B.Tech., degree in Electrical / Mechanical/Electronics discipline with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) or CGPA equivalent aggregate and minimum 45% or equivalent CGPA in cognate subject from a recognized University. Candidate is also required to have studied Mathematics in 10+2 level.
